New Steward: Welcome Don!

Church member Don Choi has recently joined the Stewards team. We asked Don to tell us about himself:

Hi, I am Don. I have newly joined the Stewards team and am looking forward to working together for the church. My family and I have been coming to High Street for the last six years and I have been a regular member of the choir.

I am a father of three young children and a husband - life is busy all the time! But whenever I have time for myself, I like to pack a book and a notebook and go cycling to the countryside. 

As a job, I financially advise public and private sector clients on mega projects - like building or acquiring renewable / low carbon energy or core infrastructure assets. I love my job because it is both rewarding to help build infrastructure for society and challenging to tackle issues such as energy security.

I have accepted the role of Church Steward because I have always received warm support from the church and hope to return this favour in the form of volunteering. I felt this especially strongly during the last couple of years when life was tough.

So when Mark asked me for the second time, I felt, “this is it”!
