Worship Group
The Worship Group provides the music for the 9.15am informal service on a Sunday morning. The group aim to support the worship leaders to lead the congregation in worship through the music we play. The group aims to create a space through the music where all can encounter God.
Weekly rehearsals take place for those who are on rota to play on the Sunday. Members meet early Sunday morning to complete a sound check.
Requirements
To have a level of competency in a musical instrument or voice.
Key volunteer activities
To provide the music for the 9.15am service
To attend a rehearsal on the run up to any Sunday service you are on rota to play
To arrive between 8.15/8.30am on the Sunday to sound check and help with any final set up
To offer your available dates to the worship group coordinator in advance of each quarter
To attend any additional events such as Worship Collectives or Training sessions as you are able
Level of commitment
As often as you are able.
Training and support
The worship group coordinator will arrange regular opportunities for the worship group to meet over food to build relationships and consider together the worship life of the 9.15 service. All are invited.
The worship group coordinator will from time to time host training sessions on working as a worship group or vocal and instrumental workshops. It is hoped members will attend as available.
