Live Stream Online Host
Join our AV Tech team and be a live stream online host for our Sunday services. This can be done in Church or at home.
We are looking for those with an interest in technology and social media to help our congregation who watch online feel part of our services on a Sunday morning.
Full training is provided.
One Sunday per month is appreciated.
Roles and Responsibilities
To make sure you can see and hear the service on both Facebook and YouTube
To monitor quality issues (e.g. an instrument too quite/loud, problem with visuals) and report to the onsite live stream lead via the WhatsApp Group or use the troubleshooting guide if a problem occurs
To monitor the Facebook chat, engage with the online community including welcoming everyone, responding appropriately to comments (e.g. if someone says they are unwell) and highlighting things the viewers need to know e.g. if there is communion.
Pin certain comments to the top of the comments and unpin during the service
Feed comments to the worship leader if pre-agreed e.g. if they ask for comments to read out, it’s generally best to do by sending screenshots on WhatsApp
Moderate comments as necessary e.g. hide any inappropriate comments in line with agreed protocol – this rarely happens
Please contact Miriam (Technical and Communications Manager) if you are interested in this role.
We also have some Worship Collective sessions in the diary if you wish to come and have a go at the tech.
