The Heart of John

Each year, Bible Month encourages us to take some time to really get to grips with one book of the Bible. This year, we are taking four weeks to explore the Gospel of John.

Many of us are familiar with verses and words from this Gospel, though perhaps it’s style and complexity makes it a harder read than the other three gospels. But there is a main theme that runs through the message - and that is one of Life!

Right from the very first chapter, Jesus is introduced as the heart of life - the ‘Word of God’. Jesus is the light of the world, the giver of grace, and John’s gospel aims to draw its readers into this boundless and everlasting love.

Over the next four weeks, we will take a whistle-stop tour through the gospel, and we also encourage home groups to make use of the resources we have in the Resource Centre to have their own explorations of this amazing book.
