Questions of Jesus

When we think of Jesus, we often think of his preaching and teaching. However, through the gospels, Jesus is actually often to be found asking questions.

In fact, depending on how you count them, Jesus asks around 307 questions. Far from being simple requests for facts, the questions Jesus asks of his followers, listeners, persecutors and us are deep and meaningful - and the answers can change our perspective on faith and life.

It would seem to be that there is something in the way that we respond to these questions that Jesus felt was important when it came to understanding God.

Over the next three Sundays, we are looking at three of the questions Jesus asked - and exploring how our answers may give us new insights into what it means to be a follower.

20 October: Who is it you are looking for?
Mike Lees

27 October: Why are you so afraid?
Lewis Cox

3 November: What more are you doing than others?
Rev Mark Hammond

We hope you will enjoy exploring these questions with us over the coming weeks, either in person or online.
