Journey of a Lifetime!

On Friday 3 October, 13 young people and four leaders from High Street travelled to Birmingham NEC for 3Generate: The Methodist Church’s National Youth event.

This year’s theme was Journey of a Lifetime, and for many of our group that’s exactly what it was. The event filled four of the NEC’s exhibition halls and included climbing walls, caving, inflatable planetarium, surfing, concert style worship, quizzes, workshops on the Bible, seminars on Methodist history with topical issues, late-night communion, theatre performances, storytelling, football, basketball, games, inflatable obstacle course…

It was great to see our members of our youth groups learning new things and gaining amazing experiences, build their confidence and meet new people. We also enjoyed exploring faith and participating in wider church and political issues.
