Choir Adventures
It has been a busy and joyful fortnight for our Choir and Choristers, filled with music, adventure and a lot of fun.
A couple of weeks ago, our Choristers enjoyed a well- deserved afternoon of fun following the morning service. The afternoon began with an indoor picnic in Wesley's. From there, the Choristers were split into two teams and embarked on a scavenger hunt around Harpenden, solving cryptic clues that led them back to the Church. Once inside, the code-breaking continued, finishing with hidden prizes around the Church. It was a close race to end with only a minute between the two teams. It was a wonderful opportunity for the Choristers to unwind, bond as a group and celebrate the hard work they have been putting into rehearsals and services.
Last weekend, the adults of the Choir travelled to Coventry Cathedral to take part in the Free Church Choir Festival. Joining voices with 180 singers from across the country, we took part in a service themed around justice and freedom and the day was filled with the celebration of choral music.
With the seasons of Advent and Christmas fast approaching, we are now preparing for one of the busiest times in the choir's calendar. We are always delighted to welcome new members to the choir. If you enjoy singing - whether you read music or not - why not come along and give it a try.
- Adult Choir rehearsals: Fridays at 8pm
- Choristers (ages 8+): Sundays at 10:30am
