Guest Speakers

We are delighted to be welcoming Rev Dr Stephen and Rev Elaine Lindridge to High Street to preach on Sunday 1 June. If the name sounds familiar you are not mistaken as they are our youth worker, Ruth’s parents.

Until recently Stephen served as the Chair of District in the Newcastle Upon Tyne District. Prior to this appointment he has served as a circuit minister and as District Evangelism Enabler. He has also served as Connexional Missioner (seconded to the Fresh Expressions Team). He is deeply committed to mission and evangelism.

Stephen has also been involved in the Methodist Church’s ECG event: ECG stands for "Equipping, Calling and Going," a network and event focusing on encouraging and resourcing individuals to actively participate in God's mission.

Elaine works as the minister leading an organisation called The Mother House which is a place for people and projects that exist outside the normal structures of the church. It works to equip and support people to plant new faith communities in the North East.

She loves coffee, mountains, cocktails with her friends, her husband, wildlife, cooking, her adult kids, the Northumbrian coastline and her job (but not in that order!).
