Another fantastic Train Fun Day

High Street was buzzing on Saturday 15th August as around 300 people joined us for another fantastic Train Fun Day.

The event was once again run by our one and only Station Master Joe, supported by a wonderful team of local railway enthusiasts and organisations who brought an amazing variety of model railway layouts and displays for visitors to explore and enjoy.

There was plenty for younger visitors too, with opportunities to play with trains, craft activities and lots to discover. And, of course, no Train Fun Day would be complete without plenty of bacon butties and delicious homemade cakes!

Best of all, the day raised around £1,200 for our charities, All We Can and Haven Hope. All We Can is the Methodist Church’s international development and relief organisation, while local charity Haven Hope supports young people affected by problematic anxiety.

A huge thank you to Station Master Joe, everyone who brought along displays, all our volunteers and helpers and everyone who came through the doors and helped make the day such a success.
