An Easter of Light

Thank you to everyone who acted, read, stewarded, provided refreshments for, sung, played music, operated technology, looked after kids and youth or simply attended our many Easter events and services over the last couple of weeks.

The Way Of The Cross led over 70 people on a journey around the events of Good Friday in a deeply moving promenade theatrical experience in conjunction with St Nicholas and Our Lady of Lourdes churches.

Special Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services had over 140 people in attendance.

Our very first Easter Fun Trail on Easter Saturday was a great success with over 150 people enjoying craft activities in the church, many kids successfully completing the trail where they learnt about Jesus' amazing good news, before being rewarded for their efforts with a Chocolate egg! Many joined us after hearing about the event on social media, or simply after walking past on the morning, and enjoyed learning about the real meaning of Easter - some for the very first time.

On Easter Sunday itself over 300 people joined our morning Easter Celebration service in the church and online. Then, later that evening, 45 people joined together for The Space - a special contemporary act of worship.
