A Lively Weekend

On Friday 7 March, High Street Youth set off for Burwell House, Cambridgeshire, to spend a weekend together.

Ten young people and three leaders spent two nights in the big house, exploring the beautiful grounds which included climbing trees, a pond garden and a fire-pit for campfires!

We had a blast! The weekend was a mix of all sorts of activities.

There were times when we gathered together to explore what faith means to us and others. Sharing testimonies from the youth team and from High Street members, we discussed what it means to ‘be Christian’ and reflected on our own journeys. We finished with worship and a chance to share our own thoughts.

There were times when we planned fun filled activities, sometimes as simple as going for a walk, some as complex as Nerf games and mocktail making workshops.

In all, we experienced an awesome time together! We only set three marshmallows alight, one football to the face, one burst fidget toy, discussions on the purpose of life, and one fall from a tree (but they took the whole branch with them…)

Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us ready for our time away. We’re already planning the next one!
