A Choral Pilgrimage

If you attend our Traditional services at High Street, you will know that our very talented church choir bring us a sung anthem each week as part of our worship. 

We work hard to select anthems that work with our services themes, but for the next three months we have a special selection of anthems to enjoy.

From September through to the beginning of Advent, the Choir have created a choral pilgrimage. The journey will cover 400 years of sacred choral music and will be accompanied by prayers written by Local Preachers and images by Deacon Sarah Wickett. Each week a different theme has been selected for reflection based upon the cultural settings of the music and composers which are still relevant today. The anthems will be sung as part of our 11am services and will also be available on our YouTube channel. The accompanying information, prayer and image will be included in our weekly news, and we hope to create a booklet of all the information once the series is complete.
