A CHURCH FOR 2021 AND BEYOND
High Street Methodist Church has always worked to communicate the love of God through Jesus Christ to its local community and beyond.
We have exciting plans to upgrade our in-church technology in 2021 to allow us to continue to do so in even better and wider ways.
SOUNDING GOOD
New sound equipment for the Church and Foyer spaces so everyone can hear
We are planning new wall-mounted speakers that are better designed for our church space. They will produce a better quality sound, with much less unwanted noise. The column-shaped speakers will be coloured white, and will replace our current poor quality and (very!) unsightly speaker stacks at the front of church.
The side transepts and the choir stalls are all included, as well as new speakers in the Foyer - so everyone will be able to join in with our worship.
LOOKING GOOD
New projection and camera equipment in the church so everyone can see
We are planning to replace our current outdated visual equipment with a new wider screen, a HD laser projector and wall mounted remote-controlled cameras. A brighter screen means that video and media can be used to enhance worship services, and installed cameras mean that however far back you’re sat, you can see what’s going on at the front.
New monitor screens in the side transepts, choir stalls and in Wesleys and our creche room will mean that everyone will have a ‘front-seat’ view.
SHARING THE GOOD NEWS
Using technology to transform more lives, more relationships and more communities
Underpinning all of our new equipment are the resources to live-stream our services over the internet and record our worship onto discs for those who are not online. Whether you are watching from home or worshipping with us in the building, we want to bring our wider church family together and bring the gospel message to everyone, everywhere.

The project represents a significant investment and the total cost of the project is expected to be around £120,000. We are looking to raise the full amount now so that we can get the project underway.
