Sound Operator

Join our AV Tech team and operate the sound desk for our Sunday services.

We are looking for those with an interest in sound and technology to help our congregations hear our services on a Sunday morning. At our 9:15am services, you can mix our worship bands and help to set up microphones. 11am services are simpler working to ensure that preachers and speakers are clearly heard.

Full training is provided.

One Sunday per month is appreciated.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist setup and sound check of band (9.15am service)

  • Prepare and test microphones required for service

  • Prepare and test audio from laptop, CD or other sources as required

  • Communicate with worship/service leader regarding service content

  • Run service, sound mixing band and microphones as required

  • Assist packing away of band equipment (9.15am service)

  • Ensure all microphones and equipment is returned and correctly stored away
