3Gen Roundup

3Generate is the Methodist Church in Britain's annual youth assembly, taking place every October at the NEC in Birmingham. Children and young people from ages 8–18 from across the Connexion come together for a weekend jam-packed with faith, fun and worship.

This year at 3Generate we were exploring the theme On The Way – a celebration of the lifelong, ever‑unfolding journey of faith.

13 youth and 4 leaders from High Street attended the weekend where they camped inside an airport hanger. ✈️

Some of the highlights were:

  • Lantern making, along with a myriad of other creating activities! 🌟

  • Dodgeball tournament - winners!! 🏆

  • Seminars on big questions such as ‘Is church history white history?’ 🤔

  • The Saintz gig 🎤

  • Hanging out with friends 👥

  • The Magic Show 🪄

  • The coffee in the Leader’s Venue ☕️

  • Reaching the top of the climbing wall 🧗‍♂️

It’s a wonderful opportunity for young people to encounter God in a variety of ways, gather together with other young people, and be reminded of their place and their voice in the wider church.

We had a great time!!
