Prayer

Prayer is a major part of our faith and underpins all that we do at High Street. When we pray, we are partnering with God to see His Kingdom come and His will be done.

Whatever your situation, whether it’s quick arrow prayers or setting aside regular times each day to pray, we hope that you will find resources here to encourage you and enable you to feel connected not only to God but to your church family as you pray.

STOP AND NOTICE PRAYER BOOKLET

During her recent sabbatical, Deacon Sarah Wickett produced this small prayer booklet to help you ‘Stop and Notice’ the world around you.

PRAYING AT HOME

We are not people of fear:
we are people of courage.
We are not people who protect our own safety:
we are people who protect our neighbours’ safety.
We are not people of greed:
we are people of generosity.
We are your people God,
giving and loving,
wherever we are,
whatever it costs
For as long as it takes
wherever you call us.

Amen.

Barbara Glasson, President of the Methodist Conference

If you have prayer requests you can email them to prayer@highstreet.church
These will be passed on to the prayer ministry team.

If you are wanting resources to help you pray with children then we want to point you to Engage Worship

Praying for You

If you need prayer for yourself or a friend, we would love to pray for you.

You can email prayer requests to prayer@highstreet.church or fill in the online form below.

These will be received by a Minister, prayed for by that Minister, and then anonymised and passed for further prayer to our prayer ministry team.
